The idea of shopping via QR Codes seems to be gaining momentum after it was trialled by Tesco in South Korea. The image above shows a shopping wall installed in an MRT station in Singapore.
The supermarket chain Cold storage have installed smart posters that offer twenty selected food items for Christmas. Ebay have done simlar in Dean street London with their Christmas boutique.

We expect more of these virtual QR Code shops to pop up everywhere

Barclays have recently launched a QR Campaign and have placed adverts in National Newspapers and in store window promotion.
I noticed this advert in the Saturday Times and due to the size you could not miss. There is a clear call to action and when scanned this leads you to a very nice Mobile optimised site.
Where you can compare mortgage savings and calculations. I'm not a great fan of filling in forms on mobile devices but this is good example of how it can be done. The QR Code scanned quickly.
